Your AdShack Advertisers account set up is divided to five sections:

2. Ad Creation: The Ad Creation area contains all the information regarding your new advertisement. The fields are as follows:
Headline - This is the first part of your ad.
Description - The body of your advertisement.
URL to display - The URL to display is the domain name of your site, this does NOT have to be the page you are advertising.
URL to link to - This is the URL that the visitor will arrive on when they click on your ad. This is provided to allow you to use click-tracking utilities.
Channel Selection - This controls what advertising channels your ad will be delivered. You may select as many relevant categories as you see fit.
Target Countries - This area determines what countries your ad will be seen.

Summary of Advertiser Guidelines
The most effective advertising communicates a clear message to a targeted audience. You will need to create ads that inform your potential customers about the products and services you have to offer. The Advertiser Guidelines will help you create effective ads to generate sales and meet your goals.
Underlying all the Advertising Guidelines are two simple principles that have worked for hundreds of advertisers already in the program:
* Clearly and accurately describe your site.
* Emphasize the unique benefits of your product or service. Our ultimate goal is your success, and we believe that providing a great user experience is the best way to ensure it. To run your ads on our growing ad network, you must adhere to these guidelines.
In cases where only minor changes are required for an ad to comply with our Advertising Guidelines, an AdShack editor may edit your ad for you. Examples of the type of edits we may make for you include the following: removing an exclamation point, removing or adding an extra space, and fixing a spelling error. You must follow the Advertising Guidelines to help ensure that your ads will continue running.

What are the differences between Display URL and Destination URL?
The Display URL is shown on some advertising creatives. This IS NOT the URL that someone will go to when they click on your advertisement.
The Destination URL is the URL the person will go to when they click on your advertisement. For an effective campaign, sometimes it is better to link directly to the product or service featured than to let your visitor hunt for it within your site. You can also use this area for a Tracking URL.

Tracking software will allow you to not only verify the number of visitors we are sending you, but can also allow you to track where those visitors are going within your site. One software package we recommend (available free) is called AXS.
